Stop Chasing Correction. Start With Hydration.
If you want to work on aging skin, you have to get the order right. The foundation is hydration. Always.
This is where skincare gets misunderstood. People reach for F59 corrective serum, retinol, or the strongest anti-aging product because they’re looking for correction.
But correction isn’t the first problem to solve. Hydration is.
That’s where F06 cell active serum comes in (FO6 CLICK HERE) F06 is a hydration-focused serum—and hydration needs to be established before piling on correctives. Not just moisturizer. Intentional hydration within the routine.
And pay attention here: what a product IS does not tell you what it DOES. A serum isn’t automatically hydrating because it’s a serum. F59 is a serum, but its purpose is corrective. F06 is a serum focused on hydration. An oil can be hydrating, nourishing, or corrective depending on its purpose. The details matter.
Start with the foundation:
F06 → facial oil → moisturizer.
Once the skin is accustomed to that foundation, then slowly introduce correction:
F59 → F06 + facial oil emulsified together → moisturizer.
But this is where I need you to hear me—skincare does not exist in isolation.
Hydration also means looking at the whole picture: adequate fluids and minerals, nourishing foods, quality sleep, stress management, and supporting your nervous system. Your skin is part of your body. How you care for your body matters too.
This is the piece that gets skipped.
People think aging skin needs more correction, more actives, more intensity. But if the hydration foundation hasn’t been addressed first, you’re starting out of order.
Correctives absolutely have a place.
So before asking, “What should I add?” ask, “Have I built the foundation?”
Hydration first. Support the skin. Give it consistency. Then—and only then—start layering in correction.
Because great skincare isn’t about using the strongest products.
It’s about understanding exactly what your skin needs, what each product is designed to do, and using it in the right order.
Get the foundation right first. Everything else builds from there.
If you’ve been around for a while, you’ve probably heard me rave about Orabella before. I have two scents I always come back to, and they’re both completely different—but equally good.
Nectar Dew
This one is fresh, fruity, and feminine. Think juicy pear, ripe fig, and bright citrus with soft florals underneath, finished with warm tonka and musk. It’s light, fresh, and gives that “I just naturally smell amazing” kind of vibe.
Salted Muse
If you prefer something a little moodier, this is your girl. It starts with sea salt and pink pepper, has a subtle olive + lavender twist in the middle, and dries down to warm woods and crisp amber. Fresh, a little unexpected, and effortlessly cool.
Basically, if you like your perfume fresh but still interesting, these are my two.
And now I finally have a little something for you!
Use code [JocelynMcClellan15] to save on Orabella through the end of the month. If you’ve been wanting to try my favorites, this is your sign!
Don’t wait—the code expires at the end of the month.
My favorite places to vacation are by the ocean: San Diego and Newport Beach in Southern California.
I love the Pacific Northwest but my favorite place to visit is Glacier National Park in Montana. I think I could almost live there!!
my favorite place is Crested Butte Colorado… the most beautiful quirky “Mayberry” town there is! And our daughter got married there so extra love for the town!
Hawaii and Paris are my fav locations, but I’ll take a drive thru the tetons any day. I prefer a warm day, but our trip on snowmobiles one chilly January in below zero temps was still pure magic. East Glacier lake is gorgeous too.
That small town ooey-gooey love is real in Kauai – with sand and sunshine. :* <3
