WHAT BROKE ME, BUILT ME: AN INSIDE LOOK AT MY NEW VIRTUAL COURSE
Before you ever Google something, there’s usually a reason, right?
Something feels off. Something isn’t working. Something hurts. Or maybe you’re looking for an answer to a question you can’t quite put your finger on.
But what about when you start Googling how you’re feeling, why you’re feeling it, or how to make it stop?
I spent four years researching how to fix this because I had spent too many years creating the signs and symptoms I was desperately trying to get rid of – through habits and patterns that, over time, completely burned me out.
And I know I’m not the only one.
Maybe you’re researching how to feel better, but you don’t even know where to start. Maybe you’re tired, overwhelmed, misunderstood, or frustrated that your body keeps reacting in ways you don’t understand.
That’s why WHAT BROKE ME, BUILT ME was created.
I had to stop looking at myself and asking, “What is wrong with me?” and start asking, “Okay, maybe I played a part in creating this – but where do I go from here?”
I didn’t want to feel exhausted. I didn’t want to feel depressed or disconnected from myself. I didn’t want to keep reacting to my body breaking down or constantly feeling like I was trying to catch up.
The research I did wasn’t something I already knew how to do. It came from one simple question: Why can’t I get better?
That question led me to understanding the nervous system, the lymphatic system, and – most importantly- how to recognize what my body was telling me and give it what it needed in that moment.
And that’s what this course is really about.
Not just knowing what to do, but learning how to recognize what’s happening in your body so you can actually respond to it.
Because here’s what I’ve learned: things start getting better, we feel good, and then we back off. Life gets busy. Old habits creep back in. Something feels hard again – and suddenly we don’t know how to get ourselves back to where we were.
I want to walk through that with you.
We’ll talk about recognizing patterns, understanding your body, taking the habits you need and weaving them into the life you’re already living, and learning how to support yourself through the hard days without creating another giant list of things you have to do.
Because healing isn’t a 30-day challenge. It’s a skill you get to keep.
And that is what I want you to walk away from WHAT BROKE ME, BUILT ME with: not another list of things to try, but a deeper understanding of your own body and the confidence to know what to do when things get hard again.
You’ve spent enough time trying to figure out what’s wrong. Let’s learn how to recognize what your body is asking for – and finally know what to do with it.

CHEAT SHEET TO COLOR CORRECTING
Orange? Green? Purple?
Who decided makeup needed a whole color wheel?!
If color correcting has ever left you staring at a rainbow of concealers wondering “okay… but what am I actually supposed to do with these?” – you’re not alone. The good news? It doesn’t have to be complicated.
In this 5-part series, I’m breaking down color correcting in a way that actually makes sense, so you can understand what you’re seeing on the skin, why certain colors work, and how to choose the right shade for what you’re trying to correct.
We’ll cover everything from under-eye discolouration and learning to read the different tones you see on a face, to a deeper dive into shade ranges and how to choose the right corrector for your skin. Then we’ll get practical with “Pick a Spot & Balance It,” where we’ll look at how to target specific areas, followed by covering blemishes and acne without piling on product.
No more guessing, no more grabbing a random orange corrector because TikTok told you to. Just a simple, practical guide to understanding what your skin needs and how to balance it.
Part 1: Under-eye Discoloration
Under-eye discolouration can show up in so many different ways – lighter areas, darker areas, purple tones, or uneven pigmentation – and there isn’t a one-size-fits-all fix.
In Part 1, I’m breaking down how I use color theory to identify, balance, and personalize the right approach for your under-eyes. We’ll look at the color wheel, how different tones affect your color-correcting choices, and why finding the right shade for your skin matters. I’ll also walk you through how I approach everything from loss of pigment to darker and purple areas – without simply piling on more makeup.
Part 2: Reading Color on Faces
Before you can choose the right color corrector, you have to know what you’re actually seeing on the skin.
In Part 2, I’m breaking down how to read color on different faces and use the color wheel to figure out what tones may need to be balanced. I’ll walk you through five close-up examples, looking at everything from puffy, darker under-eyes to lighter areas beneath the eyes, and show you why the same color-correcting approach won’t work for everyone.
The goal? Learning to see the difference, understand what your skin is showing you, and make more intentional color choices instead of treating every face and every concern the same way.
Part 3: Shade Range Deep Dive
Not every shade carries color the same way – and that matters when you’re color correcting.
In Part 3, we’re taking a deeper dive into the shade range and looking at how pigmentation changes from the deepest complexions to the lightest shades. After working with more than 30,000 women, I’ve learned that while every face is completely different, the principles of understanding pigmentation and reading color stay the same.
Building on Parts 1 and 2, I’ll break down Seint’s pigment colors, gradient scales, and undertones to show how these details can influence a custom color match. The goal is to stop treating every complexion the same and start choosing colors based on what’s actually happening on your face.
Part 4: Pick a Spot and Balance It
Color correcting doesn’t mean covering your entire face with another layer of makeup. In this part, I’m showing you how to identify one specific area, figure out what tone is showing through, and choose the right color to balance it before adding your foundation or concealer.
It’s all about being intentional – using color theory to correct exactly what needs correcting instead of adding more product everywhere.
Part 5: Covering Blemishes & Acne
Blemishes don’t all need the same color correction.
In this part, I’m breaking down how to look at the color and tone of a blemish or acne before reaching for your makeup. We’ll talk about how to balance redness, discoloration, and uneven tones so you can neutralize what’s showing through without piling on layers of concealer.
The goal isn’t to hide your skin under more makeup – it’s to understand what you’re seeing, balance it with the right color, and create a more natural-looking finish.

I am looking forward to “what broke me, built me”, at 57 this journey thru time has left me with more questions. Being a part of a generational family with a history of mental health issues, depression & anxiety along with alcohol addiction, I hope to be that person who will break the cycle and give the family the best possible chance of success. Thank you Jocelyn for your continued dedication and helping me with my health. I appreciate you 💜
