If you’re looking for an honest Olive Rose Beauty review, I have to share what I’ve been loving lately. I’ve been combining Olive Rose Beauty by Olive Tree People with my favorite Seint products, and the result is the prettiest natural, glowy skin finish.

This combination has quickly become one of my favorite ways to create a fresh, lived-in glow that still looks like actual skin.

And honestly, I think makeup has changed so much over the years. The more we learn about skincare, skin health, and how our makeup interacts with our skin, the more I find myself leaning toward lighter, skincare-focused products that work with the skin instead of masking it.

That’s exactly why I’ve been loving Olive Rose.

Why I’ve Been Loving Olive Rose Beauty​

One of the biggest things that stood out to me about Olive Rose Beauty is that it’s a waterless, skincare-infused makeup line designed to support healthy-looking skin while still giving you beautiful coverage.

Now, if you know me, you know I’m careful about buzzwords in the beauty industry. Terms like “clean beauty” aren’t regulated, and there’s a lot of fear-based marketing out there that doesn’t always align with actual science.

So instead of focusing on labels, I focus on this:

    • How products perform
    • How they feel on the skin
    • Whether they work well for mature skin
    • And whether they help create a healthy, natural finish

For me, Olive Rose checks those boxes beautifully.

My Current Everyday Glowy Makeup Routine

Here’s exactly how I’ve been layering these products lately for an effortless, dewy finish.

Step 1: Olive Rose Skin Tint

The real MVP is the Olive Rose Skin Tint.

I apply it mainly across my cheeks and nose—basically anywhere I want a little evening out without the heaviness of traditional foundation.

It gives that soft, polished look while still allowing freckles, texture, and real skin to show through. If you love lighter coverage makeup, skin tints, or that “no makeup makeup” vibe, this is such a beautiful option.

One thing I personally appreciate is that the formula actually sets down nicely after application. Some skin tints stay overly wet or slippery on the skin all day, but this one dries down in a way that still looks glowy while feeling more polished and wearable.

And yes—it’s buildable. But in my opinion, especially as we age, heavier makeup can sometimes emphasize texture more than flatter it. Healthy-looking skin and strategic coverage usually create the most beautiful result.

Step 2: Adding Shape with Seint, Contour + Blush

After skin tint, I go in to create dimension and color. I’ve been using the HT Shaping Contour along my cheekbones, forehead, and down my neck to help everything blend seamlessly from face to body.

On lighter makeup days, I often skip bronzer completely because the Medium contour shade has enough warmth to softly sculpt without looking too cool or muddy.

QUICK TIP
If traditional bronzer pulls too orange or warm on your skin, try using a warmer cream contour instead. Sometimes it creates a much softer, more natural bronze effect.

For blush, I love using HT Blush Glow on my cheeks—and occasionally on my lips too for an easy monochromatic look. It gives that fresh, “just pinched” flush that makes the whole face come alive.

And for smaller areas that need extra coverage, I still reach for my Seint Main Highlight in targeted spots where I didn’t apply skin tint.

For structure aka contour, it depends on my mood for the day. If I want a lighter application, I just wear my Olive Rose contour on my jawline, nose, forehead, and cheekbones because it does enough sculpting without being too strong or too warm. On days I want a little more definition, I like to use my Seint stone contour as a bronzer (I use this as a bronzer because traditional bronzers pull me too warm so this is a great trick) in all the areas you’d apply bronzer- forehead, cheeks and neck (since my neck is a little lighter in an area – it matches perfectly)

No makeup look feels complete to me without mascara, and the HT Mascara has been such a good everyday option for keeping lashes looking long, separated, and healthy without clumping.

Can Olive Rose Work with Other Makeup Brands?

I’ve tested a lot of brushes over the years, and I still absolutely love the Seint Pilot and Blend brushes for this routine.

    • The Pilot brush blends the Skin Tint beautifully and gives such an airbrushed finish.
    • The Blend brush is amazing for smaller, intentional placement and detailed blending.

I personally don’t love the term “clean beauty” because it isn’t regulated and can sometimes create unnecessary fear around ingredients. What I do appreciate is that Olive Rose focuses heavily on skincare-forward formulas and simplified ingredients.

No—it’s definitely more of a light, buildable coverage product. It’s designed to enhance skin rather than completely mask it.

In my opinion, yes. Lightweight, glowy products often work beautifully on mature skin because they don’t sit as heavily in texture or fine lines.

Riddle me this… What makes Seint different? Yeah, it’s cream makeup – who gives a crap, everyone is moving to cream – but WHY IS SEINT DIFFERENT!? Let me tell you: it’s all-in-one baby.

“Seint cream makeup” refers to the makeup products offered by Seint Official, a cosmetics brand known for its cream-based formulated all-in-one makeup palettes. Seint makeup includes products such as highlight (foundation), lip & cheeks (blush and lip colors), illuminator (highlighter), contour, eyeshadow, and more. These cream-based products are designed to offer buildable coverage and blendability, fitting into one compact and allowing users to achieve a natural, flawless look, perfect for all ages and skin types. Seint’s approach to makeup focuses on simplicity and enhancing natural beauty, often utilizing a technique called “HAC” (highlight and contour) to create dimension and definition on the face.

HOW DO YOU APPLY SEINT?

With a cream makeup, it’s important to prep the skin a little differently. A cream sits on the skin surface instead of absorbing into the skin and showing wrinkles and pores more.

The best way to get started with your Seint makeup is by getting a FREE COLOR MATCH. This is where I come in – I can tell you which Seint  cream foundation shades are right for you if you request a color match! Choose your shades of highlight, contour, and illuminator. Seint offers a variety of shades and a custom color match from me can assure confidence in the colors being chosen.

SELECT YOUR SHADES: This is where I come in with your customized color match – I can tell you which foundation shades are right for you if you request a color match! Choose your shades of highlight, contour, and illuminator. PREP YOUR SKIN: You’ll need less here than you’re used to with liquid or powder. I recommend ONLY using moisturizer on dry patches, if you have any. Cream makeup keeps skin more hydrated than liquid/powder makeup. A serum (if not an oily serum) can work well, such as the Layers serum I’ve talked about as well as using a sunscreen for your skin type. If you need help finding one for your skin type, here’s a link to my Sunscreen Guide Blog linked here. If you use a sunscreen designed for your skin type and not just because you know it’s a good brand, it will work best.

IMPORTANCE OF SEINT BRUSHES:  Seint brushes are essential for achieving seamless and flawless makeup application. They are specifically designed to work with Seint’s cream-based products, ensuring optimal blending and precision.

*Personal note – I didn’t start out using Seint brushes. I can attest to how much these brushes do matter for cream makeup with Seint.

BEGINNERS FAVORITE BRUSHES FOR MY CLIENTS:  For beginner application, two must-have brushes are the Blend Brush and IIID Brush. The Blend Brush is perfect for blending multiple shades seamlessly, while avoiding excessive use of foundation while you adjust to using a cream makeup and getting comfortable with it. If you can only get one brush to begin with, I highly recommend getting the Blend brush as this is a great beginner brush! The IIID Brush will help with cream makeup blush application (using the big end of the brush) and if more coverage is desired, a light press with your final highlight color will finish out the look with perfection.

APPLY HIGHLIGHT:  Using your favorite Seint brushes (the Blend Brush is my preference for beginners), apply the color correcting highlight shade to areas of your face where extra coverage is needed for darker areas. Blend this out with your brushes after applying using a stippling motion to ensure a smooth and even application. Follow your color corrector by your main highlight shade, needed for the other areas of the face and finish application with the brightening highlight color if you would like to brighten key areas – this color is most like a “concealer.” These underlined shades are all included within your custom color match from me; the brightening highlight color is optional. Again, blend out your main and brightener in designated areas (according your color match) using your Seint brushes. Make sure to use stippling motions as you blend and watch the magic happen as your new cream makeup becomes a second skin.

APPLY CONTOUR:  Next, using the Blend Brush or IIID Brush, apply the contour shade to areas you’d like to add depth to or define, such as the hollows of your cheeks, along the jawline, the sides of your nose, and around the forehead. Blend this color out well to avoid harsh lines.

ADD BLUSH:  If you’ve chosen a blush shade, lightly apply it to the apples of your cheeks using the Seint IIID brush and stipple it out for a pop of color and added dimension. 

APPLY ILLUMINATOR:  Using the IIID Brush or your fingertips (depending on the area), apply the illuminator shade to the high points of your face where you want to add a subtle glow. This can be places such as the tops of your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, and the cupid’s bow above your lip.

SET IF NECESSARY:   If you have oily skin or want to extend the wear of your makeup, you can set the IIID Foundation with a light press of translucent powder using the Seint Powder Brush. This is optional – I personally feel if you use a sunscreen best for you skin type that helps most of all.

PRACTICE & EXPERIMENT:  Don’t be afraid to experiment with different application techniques and brushes to find what works best for you. Practice makes perfect! If you’re looking for different techniques, I have many examples on Instagram and YouTube.

Layered Bob Hairstyle

The layered bob hairstyle you see is my most recent short hair cut by Chris Jones (@chrisjones_hair on Instagram). In the past, I’ve stuck to more of a textured bob hairstyle which is more of a blunt cut. This time we switched things up and at first I wasn’t loving it completely, but now I’m in love with the layered bob! I always recommend doing solid research on hairstylists who specialize in the hair cut you’re looking to get. For example, in my case, I would need to be checking reviews of short hair stylists who have executed the layered bob, textured bob, or other short haircuts I’m looking to possibly get. Check their social media pages, reviews from previous clients online, and be clear with what short hairstyle you’d like once you’ve contacted them! 

 

Styling a Layered Bob Haircut

Since I’ve gotten home and been able to play around and style my new layered bob hairstyle on my own, I’ve found these four products by L’ange have done the trick: Glaze hair lotion, Sorbet smoothing balm, Posh hair polish, and Salt & Sea texturizing spray. This covers my bases for heat protectant, frizz reduction, and volume! To see how I use these products on a layered hairstyle for best results, see the video below!

Keep in mind, blow drying vs. air drying can make a huge difference in how your hair feels and holds up after styling. Using little to no product can leave your hair falling flat faster, but having too much product weigh your hair down too. Blow drying helps to spread the product evenly throughout your hair and will help give you volume, especially if you have or are going for a layered bob, or any short hairstyle for that matter.

Skincare Guide Pt. 2 : Hyaluronic Acid & Gentle Facial Cleansers

On the daily, I work with women one on one to troubleshoot and understand their skincare and makeup.  Most of the time we deal with makeup and why they cannot get the look they want from it.  When it comes down to it, we always have to ask ourselves “what condition is the skin in?”  If you are someone who feels like you cannot get your skincare to where you want it to be or you don’t know where to start with skincare, here are two key things that we can start focusing on today: gentle cleansers & hyaluronic acid.

Importance of Gentle Cleansers & HA

In regards to gentle cleansers, are you using one?  There’s a good chance that your skin might be getting too worn out or mad at the cleansers you are using.  You want to have one that is gentle, especially if you have sensitive skin or are going through changes within your body (illness, allergies, menopause, etc.).  A gentle cleanser can make it a little easier on your skin and make all the difference in the world for your makeup!

That being said, some people do use gentle cleansers but are not noticing a change in their skin. Depending on your skin type, you might need just a little more TLC! One other thing you can introduce into your skincare routine is Hyaluronic Acid.  Hyaluronic Acid helps build up collagen as well as reduces fine lines and wrinkles.  It also does an excellent job of training your skin to retain moisture!

Gentle Cleansers:

Hyaluronic Acids:

Having a gentle cleanser as well as Hyaluronic Acid &  just focusing on those two is a great place to start instead of incorporating a bunch of skincare all at once. It takes time for the skin to ease into it all so remember to add little by little to your skincare routine! Big changes to the skin can have big reactions but you can start with these two and see how your skin likes it. 

What changes should I expect in my skin?

Keep in mind these products within the guide are not all tried and true by myself but a lot of research went into finding solid gentle facial cleansers and hyaluronic acids. When researching, I chose products that were rated well & had trustworthy reviews.  I made sure to include medical grade & over the counter brands as well.  Don’t forget the importance to test out a gentle cleanser for 4-6 weeks before you give up on it…unless you are seeing a drastic sensitivity immediately. After implementing a gentle cleanser & hyaluronic acid into your skincare, the difference you should be noticing is your skin waking up and not feeling so dried out.  You should be achieving more of a natural glow within your skin. 

REMEMBER: These are just 2 key pieces to a solid skincare routine. If you have any serums or moisturizers that you love and you know your skin needs, keep using them! Having a gentle facial cleanser & a solid hyaluronic acid isn’t the only way to getting the skin you want, but they are two key components to a great skincare concoction!

My Birthday Favorites

I hope you love these birthday favorites as much as I do! Everything you see in this blog post are some of my favorite finds, tried & true businesses, and more that would make for the perfect birthday gift for you or someone you love. I’ve thrown in a little something from everything…home, beauty, wellness & fashion and more. Whether you’re looking for a special something for mom, grandma, your sister, or ideas for yourself – these birthday favorites for sure be a winner! 1. Turkish Towels: I love these because they’re way more compact than regular towels for on the go & sand doesn’t stick to them like a regular towel which makes it easier to take to the beach.  Not to mention, these are so cute!

2. Stonewall Kitchen: Holy crap- these are dangerous for me. I can’t get enough of their goodies! Seriously, if only you could see my pantry. Stonewall has sauces, marinades, jams, pancake mixes, you name it – it’s all gold!

3. Topanga Laundry Detergent:  I’m a huge lover of all things scents & when it comes to my laundry, I love a lingering scent of a good detergent but I never found what I wanted until the last few years. It’s not just a laundry detergent, it creates an emotion and is so memorable.  It is a luxury item so one cool thing about it is if you want it to last longer, you can take any unscented pod or liquid detergent and add a little bit to your Topanga detergent because truly a little bit goes such a long way in regards to scents!  

My favorite scents from Topanga are Hollywood + Vine (cedar, bergamot, black fig, woodsy, but not too masculine of a scent), Malibu Pier (very masculine, spicy, woodsy/musky), Bel-Air (floral, amber, patchouli, chocolate, reminds me of a detergent I found years ago called Diva Wash) and The Grove (very fruity, fresh, floral, sandalwood, citrus notes). 4. 5 Minute Gratitude Journal:  I love this because at least I’m journaling something & it’s a pretty one you can put on the shelf to reflect on how far you’ve come every year! It’s not pictured in the graphic but I love it! This is a birthday favorite that could work for any occasion really.

5.  PhoneFin: I have tried so many different phone accessories that allow me to hold my phone easier as I love such an active lifestyle and work from my phone a ton, too – PhoneFin is one that I have come across and loved for a while now! I currently have another accessory on my phone and I can’t wait to switch it out with a PhoneFin because it just gets the job done!

6. Casetify: The thing I love most about these cases is that they are durable, available in a variety of customizable cases, and lots of fun designs/colors to choose from!

1. Buxom gloss in Samantha: This color is truly the best, especially if you have dry lips or just feel the need to have a solid gloss over your lip color.  It’s a great pinky-nude that adds just the right sine without taking away from the color you have there already.

2. Trigger Point Roller & Lacrosse Ball: Rolling truly helps my body everyday! Without it, my muscles are in so much pain; when I do roll out one side of my body’s muscles, I can feel which side of me is looser and working better vs which side is tighter.  Rolling muscles is something you have to ease into & make sure to ask a doctor first just in case! The Lacrosse ball is great for rolling smaller muscle areas like the feet, palms or to pinpoint smaller spots.  

3. Rechargeable Fan: Not only is this a birthday favorite, but it has been a must have in my purse, backpack, car, everywhere! I have multiple of them and have loved them since I bought them! They are not too big and not too small.  Plus, they are rechargeable!  

4. Water Bottles: I’m the type of girl who won’t get her water intake met unless she has a filled water bottle by her at all times.  I’ve searched high and low for a good water bottle that had a handle and didn’t leak and made it easier to haul around.  Here are a few of my faves: Simple Modern Tumbler, HydraPeak Roadster, Stanley Flip Straw Tumbler, Hydro Flask Flex Cap Tumbler       

5. Sunset Riot by AllSaints: For me, one thing I look for in a perfume is a scent that is both masculine & feminine – AllSaints is just that. It’s one of my favorite things that I gift to others as well because it works for anybody truly!  I could best describe it as musky, hints of cedar wood, orange flowers & pink peppers yet it’s still fresh.

1. Nike Air Max: I recommend sizing up about a 1/2 size, but I love how comfy & stylish these are!  Definitely a shoe that stands out & gets attention.  You are not just wearing a regular running show with your jeans, you are styling up an outfit! 

2. Cowboy Boots: I’m a huge lover of Canty Boots; she takes old boots and restores them to become something new more like a booty instead of a boot.  I also love Marc Fisher booties (especially these in black and these in cream) & Freebird – they have my heart! 

3. Ball Caps: I love a good ball cap and here are a couple of my favorites from Madewell & Addidas. I love how a good, simple ballcap can change up an outfit and these are both good quality hats to have on hand. 

4. Burns Saddlery: These hats – I can’t stop & won’t stop wearing them! The quality is rock solid; you can customize your hat so it is a little hard for me to quote a price on that but if you are wanting a REAL cowboy hat, this is the place to go! 

5. FreePeople Overalls: These overalls are one of my favorite pairs right now!  I love all the fun colors they come in and are very true to size.  I did do a dryer test and they do indeed shrink a bit but not too much – might be something to consider! 

6. Levi’s Jean Shorts: Last but not least, these shorts! I love them so much that I bought them in multiple colors – so fun and the perfect length for someone like me with long legs. Not to mention, they’re the great quality that Levi’s gives so definitely worth trying out if you’re on the hunt for some solid denim shorts!

Below are some of my SEINT lip & cheek favorites for every day wear, different tones, and more. If you’ve been color matched by me for SEINT, you know I don’t usually match you to any lip colors but that’s because it comes down to personal preference. That doesn’t mean I’m not willing to give any recommendations!

I’m so happy you’re here and excited to focus on L’ange, haircare, and showing you a guide to L’ange products I love! I wanted to make this the focus I hear back from customers sometimes about the way they aren’t loving the L’ange products but usually it’s HOW we’re using them that makes all the difference in whether we love them or not & whether we got the right ones or not. It’s also super important to always keep in mind that what works for some may not work for others! If you’re new here, one thing I stress often is the understanding that everyone’s hair is different & what works for one person may not work for another. Listen to your hair! Don’t be afraid to experiment with it to find what it likes best. That being said, I’ve put this guide together and regularly keep it updated with the products I’m currently using and how I use them. I have also taken care to include products I recommend for different hair goals as well as hair types. Keep scrolling for more details!

Below is a little breakdown for you including products you can try before blow drying to help your styles:

For fine hair & before blow drying:
Glaze hair lotion (adds protection, moisture & volume)
Sorbet leave-in conditioner (helps with humidity as well)
Thermal Magique (for heat protection; it’s not my top fave but the Posh might weigh your hair down a bit if you have thin hair. Very SMALL amount to be used)
Salt & Sea spray (texturizing spray)

For medium-fine hair before blow drying:
Glaze hair lotion (adds protection, moisture, & volume)
Sorbet leave-in conditioner (helps with humidity as well)
Posh (for heat protection only near midshafts – ends of hair)
Salt & Sea spray (texturizing spray)

For thick hair before blow drying:
Glaze hair lotion (adds protection, moisture, & volume)
Sorbet (helps with frizz and tames the hair)
Posh (for heat protection and keeps it more sleek)

**For naturally curly/wavy hair:
Envie leave-in conditioner (apply when hair is wet/damp and diffuse or air dry), Manage Marula Oil hydrating spray, and Glaze hair lotion (for frizz control and softness/hydration)
or
Sorbet leave-in conditioner (apply same as above)

**Keep in mind for naturally curly/wavy hair less is most definitely more to bring out those natural styles without weighing down the hair or leaving it feel full of product/crunchy! Allow the hair to air dry if you opt out of diffusing it with a blow dryer.

These add ins to your hair (before blow drying) can make the biggest difference for your hairstyle. You’re helping it create volume, control, texture and more. It is so important to get something in your hair to help it & this will make a big difference for your hair!

Make sure to test out amounts in your hair as it can vary depending on your hair! The testing time is so important and that is where you’ll find your favorite hair products/the right amount to use for you before blow drying.

YouTube: Day 2 Loose Curls

Day 2 loose curls coming at you! It’s incredible how on day 2 of having loose curls your hair can look so different from day one, but you can change it up just a bit. Here are some rocking styling tips for day 2 hair. If you think back to how the hair started, you can see it takes little effort to create a whole new look. Dry shampoo is a saving grace for your day 2 hair as are any oils you use so the hair doesn’t feel dry! You want good hydrated hair, that is manageable and happy. Enjoy this tutorial for day 2 loose hair curls!

When I tell you this makeup has been a breakthrough discovery, I mean it! Seint’s Cream Correctors are a cream based makeup, just like the IIID foundation that Seint still carries but the difference is this line uses color theory to help you camouflage the smaller imperfections noticed and really accentuate the beauty that is already there. It’s amazing how something so good can drop into your lap when you least expected it to do so. Especially when it comes down to makeup. Demi has been that incredible game changer. I am so excited to show and teach more of Demi Colour. This is a makeup that you were not expecting to be such a game changer but it is! The way Demi Colour uses color science to create a makeup look as if you are not wearing any makeup at all is been incredible. Demi teaches you to analyze the color(s) that you see on your face creating an issue for you and apply the smallest amount of Demi to that area using the color needed to neutralize those problem areas. Throughout knowing more about Demi and learning the ropes, you will hear the words neutralize, saturated, brightening, sculpting, and more. 

You will become more familiar with the actual colors on your face and what colors you see in depth.
