Hey y’all — in light of the recent flooding across Kerr County Texas, I’ve put together this page to centralize relief resources, ways to help, and support for those directly impacted. So many of you have reached out asking where to donate or help in any way so I figured putting together what I’ve found in one place would be helpful for those who’d like to get involved.
READ ALL THE INFO BECAUSE THERE ARE MORE WAYS TO DONATE THAN JUST THE SALVATION ARMY
While I’ve included many places to donate items and funds, the biggest thing needed right now is PEOPLE but only in an organized manner – people showing up with no direction or organization is actually slowing things down.
I’ve spoken to multiple people that are on the grounds and we have been going back and forth. They want to stress as much as people are saying come now- PLEASE reach out to very specific organizations before just showing up.
Every area is different. Some you help right on the area and some you have to walk, drive to, or walk along a stretch of land to get to where the set up for relief/clean up is.
For those volunteering to help with clean up, please do NOT show up in sneakers. They are stressing this – be very prepared with gloves, masks, lots of water, electrolytes, tall boots, sunscreen and keep yourself protected. I’d even bring snacks and a cooler just to be safe – it may work, may not but better to have it than to not. For those volunteering in warehouses/other areas of relief, you should be fine.
The Salvation Army website isn’t the easiest to navigate, and their phone lines are pretty slammed — but I found this link where you can sign up to volunteer: tcr.communityos.org/
Once you’re there:
IF YOU NEED HELP OR ARE DIRECTLY AFFECTED BY THE FLOODING IN KERR COUNTY, YOU CAN CALL THIS NUMBER FOR AID.
What they want others to know is IF you or someone you need are in need of assistance from this, please contact them – they want the word out to contact them if you’re in need of assistance because of the floods.
I’ve been doing some research and found a few organizations working to provide relief for the flooding throughout Central Texas. You can check out their websites I’ve linked as well to find out how to get involved with each relief effort. These are just a few but they are also sharing things from other pages if they know someone is in need or if there’s an opportunity to help!
SOUTHERN OAKS CHURCH AMAZON LIST
This local church has put together a list of items they’re collecting to help those in need of help and for those on the ground offering aid. Here’s a relief fund I’ve seen being shared online by a lot of individuals. The Community Foundation – a 501(c)(3) public charity serving the Texas Hill Country – will direct funds to vetted organizations providing rescue, relief, and recovery efforts as well as flood assistance. The Fund will support the communities of Hunt, Ingram, Kerrville, Center Point, and Comfort. All donations are tax-deductible, and you will receive a receipt for your gift.
You can donate here to help fund search and rescue teams – this goes towards gasoline for the helicopters and other tools needed to help disaster relief efforts through this organization.

Here’s a great organization you can donate to as they help provide showers for those working in search, rescue, and clean up. I’m in communication with this organization and we’ll be chatting later this week to find more ways to volunteer. They’re going to be a GREAT resource to help stay in the loop on the volunteer side of things!
Beau Bear Organization is working to raise funds to send directly to the affected families and provide emotional and spiritual resources as they navigate the newfound grief. Every dollar raised through Beau Bear goes straight to families – they don’t take a cent.
